I'm growing it. I don't think that there is a better seed out there. It has ben grown twice and has grown a 1214 and a 1338. Best of all the guys who grew it aren't heavy hitters who grow multiple plants over 1000 pounds every year. That to me means a lot. Also, the two fruit that it grew looked a lot alike, and they both went considerably heavy.

I grew it two years ago. I didn't have much luck then, mainly because I have a major problem with fusarium in my patch. I did get a pumpkin that was 323# uow. The cross is 991 Urena X 947 Hunt. The 947 Hunt is the reverse cross (1446 Eaton X 1420 Larue). The 947 Hunt went down to Fusarium also, but produced a 440# uow (947 X 991). I'm taking a year off to get a new patch ready on a neighboring property for 2010, but I plan on growing the 991 again sometime. I have a limited number of seeds from the 323 and 440 if anyone is interested.

My daugher Sami is growing it this year. Looks like it is the "grower's choice" in Santa Rosa. I think more people will know about Leonardo after this season.
