I am trying to decide which seeds will = BIG x Orange. If any outstanding crosses pop out, please, let me know! Besides growers like Pukos, Jutras, and Wallace, these names might as well be in Spanish. (3rd year AG grower, 1st year with non-commercial seeds)
1407 Hemphill (Seed looks moldy) 730 Swarts 593 Swarts 798 Carlson 740 Horton 854 Jutras 720 Rose 433 Brinkley 718 Van Kooten 425 Wolf
1125 Pukos 1085 Boor 1174 Ghaye 692 Pukos 1130 Kline 1297 Ghaye
Thanks!

Those names are the godfathers of the hobby. You will come to know them well. I don't have the knowledge you need on your question, though others will.

Don't worry about that 1407 germinating, I had two of them that wasnt that hot looking and they both germinated fine, one I gave to a buddy and the other I kept and grew, both plants was a really vigorous grower right from the start. but unfortunately I lost mine to seed corn maggots. Id give that 1407 seed a shot.
here is the pumpkin that 1407 seed come from.

I grew a 1407 last season. It had good color and went heavy. I had a down year due to my slacking off. The 1407 x 1297 sounds good to me. here's a picture of the pumpkin. It is the second from the right. http://www.bigpumpkins.com/Diary/DiaryViewOne.asp?eid=98198

This is the lineup as long as my relentless bees don't pose any objections;
425 Wolf x 1297 Ghaye 1407 x 1297 Ghaye
Thanks for the advice everyone. Steve, those pumpkins are amazing.

Plant the 720 Rose, that seed could grow over 1500lbs.
I like the 720 Rose x 1085 Boor cross a lot.
