i like to go back to these polls from previous years and see who was right on the money in their choices and which seeds didn't pan out to the expectations. keep them coming if you got 'em. and the "silly...ha...you jokin?" comment was directed at my thinks-he's-funny friend of mine, george j. i would love to see you grow a 1500 pounder with my 1147 my friend...as long as i grow a 1501 pounder to beat ya...long way before the tailgate drops though...for you that is!!!! no worries here....my biochar will get you in the end. i think all of my pumpkins this year will be named after mayan gods for good luck to my terra preta. lol

The 1147 is a good bet to go heavy and may see some dirt here. Not sure about your bio-char, It may burn you in the end. It seems your going a bit heavy on patch prep additives? Its nice to dream this time of year.

I really like the 1325 Starr. 227 Leland sibbed, with the pollinator being the cloned 227 Leland that produced a 35 % heavy fruit last year and a 1524 # fruit the year before that. The 1325 was also a beautiful orange and had a great shape I also think the 1129 Orleck (985 Werner x 1041.5 McKie)holds great promise Don't overlook this seed just because Dan was a rookie!
