what did the 1502 do and look like? what did the 1068 do and look like? As I recall the 1357 went down from something on the bottom of the fruit, my guess would be from a weak spot on the dill ring.
as far as orange,,,always a chance but much better genetics out there if hoping for a color cross here
just my .02

Most knowledgable person to ask would be Bhaskaran in my opinion. He has made some great crosses and knows the Poirier lineup very well!

Thanks for the input. I got the seed from Don Langevin. female was 1502wallace, 06. male 1068wallace, o3. = 400 don langeven. It tape 525 weighed 611.5 was a lite colored pumkin. Iam first time grower and had 5 plants growing in patch 30 x 30ft big mistake! This plant grew a 300? lb on a side vine also. I baged the flower before it opened and used male from 1357 poirier then baged it again so cross should be true. The 1357 was a very orange pumkin. I have hundreds of big seeds from my pumpin and if any one wants to try this cross I will give seeds away. Its 611.5"WINKLER" maybe you can add a 1000 lbs to it next year!!!!
