Are you suppose to base your seed selection on family Genetics, proven seed, biggest pumpkin. I just ordered a 400 pound Langavin from his site (for future use,I have seeds picked out for next year already ), 1689 Jutras x 1631 Mckie, I just thought this was a extremely good cross to have and did'nt want to pass it up.

It has been said that there are three things necessary to grow a Giant Pumpkin....excellent soil, excellent seed and excellent luck! The soil has got to be right...no doubt about it! Soil is extremly important! Great genetics are very important but what grows well in your climate and soil conditions will not always grow well in mine! Luck is also important, rain, temperatures, bugs, and a thousand other things can ruin a great year!
