I really like the 887 genetics.....
Hey the 407 shot out of the ground, nice and strong.....Im thinking of crossing this with the 1041 or the 1385....Im leaning towards that but CoJoe might have some good genetics for it too.....1068? Maybe so......What do you think would make a good cross with the 407

gary i fell in love with the 887 orr back in the mid ninties when ron and i had a monster (for that day in time ) going but lost the plant and pumpkin to disease.
i tried unsuccessfully two years in a row to pollinate a 1068 with the 887 orr. to me the only way i thought to bring in older genetics was to introduce it into one of todays monster seeds.
ps--- if you got a 1502 or any other seed stock with 1068 genetics id think about pollinating it with the 887

I agree with paps,cross it with something strong in 898 knauss such as my 1068 plant(future colorado record?),bizzs 1385 plant or his 757 bizz.I'm only charging 5 dollars per male flower on the 1068-sighn up in advance

wiz, i like the 1041 also. i'm crossing with 742 wolf(664 liggett remake) or 810 kuhn(898x1370). i'm still undecided at this point.

Pollinating one on the 407 at 12 feet this weekend.....Im liking to use the Biz 1385 since it iZ growing long Pumpkins that look more like a spagetti squash that a pumpkin.......
