I grew the 1101 Northrup and got a fruit that was bright orange, smooth, and 18% heavy. That's better than a sharp stick in the eye!

I would cross the 1101 and the 500, it should be orange.

Morbid,
That's an impressive orange line up!. In 2007, the Northrups crossed the 904 X 500 and ended up with an 1191.5. They also did a 1101 X 500 cross and grew a 646. Pictures of the 1191.5 and the 646 are on the Howard Dill's seed site.
Both of the Beachy seeds have the 846 Calai and the 801.5 Stelts in their genes. You might want to consider pollinating some of the Northrups with the Beachy pollen. Good luck!

That 808 Beachy grows some pretty Orange pumpkins. Check GR8PUMPKIN(Shannon) diary a few years back.
