I dont follow squash much and this might be a stupid question, but is there any orange colored pumpkins out there that was crossed with a green squash that the seeds from that pumpkin only grew green squash and nothing eles? I know the 900 Lyons will grow orange pumpkins( espically for Glenn Andreews) and it will also grow nice dark greenies as well.

Or here is a example, lets say I cross a 1068 Wallace with a *552 Sherwood. Whats the chances of all the seed from this cross growing 100% green squash, slim I know, but could it happen, or is there a cross out there like this that grows nothing but greenies?

I'll add a bit more to this, The 703**** Smith throws all green as far as I know and the 703 was grown from a selfed 935 Lloyd. Also check out the Northrupp seeds on the AGGC. There seeds a known for orange and there was one that threw a grenie in 07 Eddy

the 900 lyons line started out orange back in 86 according to the aggc and the pollinator for the 771stellpflug the 611stellpflug started out as orange in 86 as well its weird to see both lines started out as orange pumpkins

Anyone that is interested I can see if I have a couple seeds left from the squash that Pumpkinspice grew from my 229. The 229 was grown from a 821 Garrell. The 821 had a tendency to go green for some growers like it did for me. When I saw the females were going to be squash I crossed it with the 703 Smith. Here is a picture of what pumpkinspices squash looked like. Sorry I do not have any of the 229 seeds left, I sent them all out so there should be some out there somewheres. http://www.bigpumpkins.com/Diary/DiaryViewOne.asp?eid=28966

Brooks Marc and I crossed our 1432 into the 848 Mac squash. the 1432 tends to throw large white fruit so the off spring could be interesting ?? DAN
