If you had a relatively small growing area, let's say 200-300 square feet, which seeds would you be inclined to plant for maximum growth. I learned the 1353 Ligget was grown in only 300 sq. feet. I ask this question because I am thinking of growing a 4th pumpkin and the growing area is only 250 sq. feet. Maybe better suited for melons...thanks

The 664 Ligget would be one to consider IMO.

I have a small area and I'm going to be trying a flag type pattern, to save space.

any seed will work. it all depends on how your train the plant, when you pollinate because of the space constraint, how long the plants leaves will last in a small area.
definately not the ideal space but good size fruit have been grown successfully many times over. some by choice ,some by chance
id definately plant a seed that has a history of being trouble free. not many second chamces with a small plant.

I think they mean the square footage of ground the leaves actually cover.
