Dog overall but I must say the last 2 Bengal cats we had were awesome pets and did an amazing job keeping the pumpkin patch clear of any pests that the could catch and ear....but overall... Dog over cat.

Although I'm hoping someday our house can take a break from dog ownership. Its so nice with cats you can top off their food & water and leave town for a few days without having to bother anyone to help with pet care.

I flip flop, right now it’s cats. We had some awesome dogs but the two cats we have now are far more outgoing a d social than most cats. One, Moses, is a 20 lb tabby who runs to me when I’m banging away at something in the basement. Not afraid of anything.

Dogs for me, really like Shepherds. We put down our 13 year old in our backyard 3 weeks ago, and have a 1 yr old Shepherd named Bass left.

I like dogs. Preferably larger breeds like shepherds, labs, and other retrievers. Can't beat em for being good loyal friends.

Cats. They do not bite half your ear off and cause 26 stitches to put it back on. (just shy of 7 yrs. old and the fact it took back then was very fortunate)
Besides cats are owned by people who are willing not to be a control freak and are really good at training humans.
