This is a variety named Gallina. These maize plants were around 19 feet tall. They are still standing in the garden, although they are in very bad shape from freezing temps. I'm hoping to get a few kernels out of the ears. Ears on this variety are very high up the stem. Some ears as high as 16-17 feet.
