This is a new personal best for me at 19 ft tall. This plant blew over a few days ago in a wind storm. It would just starting to produce a tassel when it fell over. Would have been even taller when the tassel extended. Just from eyeballing my patch, there is one that looks even taller; so it looks pretty good that I will break 20 ft. this year. I still have another giant maize variety, not Jala, but another tropical giant, that may exceed all of them, since it's still in the growth phase.
