Just wondering if anyone has ever tried or used rooting horomone when starting seeds?
If the shell was removed one could dip the endosperm into the solution / powder directly.
Thanks Ceis

I used Rootone this year, which is a rooting hormone plus fungicide. My cotes on one seed were kind of deformed when it stood up through the soil but not sure what caused it. I might of filed the seed down too far. It sure has one fat stem though.

I tried Rootone & PGR IV in my experiments. PGR IV will be in use with the selected starts.

I made up a quart of soaker adding one tbs of fish and kelp, one half ounce of Bio Boost, Gardens Alive and a mild one ounce of 3% Hydrogen Peroxide. Filed the edges, soaked 'em four hours and set seed in medium at 45 degrees. We had this thing called emergence, in three days, in the germination box temperature, of 83 degrees. I did not add the fungicide because the Hydrogen Peroxide is reported to be a fungicide in this applicatiion.
