I planted Casper pumpkin seeds indoors today. Is this a good time or should I have waited. i have never tried growing casper pumpkins before so some advice would be helpful.

Emergence is fairly fast! They should be under grow lights to the first true leaf stage and then to the garden immediately. Can you do this while protecting your seedling plants? They do not like to set in the pots at all!!!

i didn't know that because i thought it was fine since they sell pumpkin plants in the litte containers at the store. Thats what i have them in. They haven't sprouted yet. they are in a dome.

the stores usually go for quantity, not quality, they want to make money. have you noticed that most things you buy at stores are rootbound when you plant them? they don't have money to put everything in a big enough pot and still make a good profit. pumpkins have big root systems.

Oh well they will only be in the small container for a few days I guess it can't hurt.
