No need to start sunflowers inside, they can be planted directly outside after last frost.

Same with the corn, I usually push the last frost date by a week or so...the seeds won't have germinated yet, so frost won't get the seedlings.

I live in hot part of Poland. There is sometimes more than 35 C degrees. The last frost end at 10-15 May.

Sunflowers can go down into upper 20's (-5c) without damage so you can plant now if you want to. Corn needs heat so wait to plant corn.

I know I dont live in poland but I tried planting my corn earlier than usual last year and had problems with corn worm maggots.

is it a good idea to plant sunflowers and corn near pumpkins...........or not?

Jeremy - corn may attract raccoons, which might discover nice sweet pumpkins closeby.Once the corn gets tall it can also shade your pumpkin vines, depending on where the sun hits your patch.
