Hi Farmer Tom,
We germinated a 478 Kilbert along with some others. It is one of two that we have selected as the best of the bunch. We will be planting that and the 869.5 Calai in our patch. We have selected foster homes for our other plants. That way we can still get some pollen from the males for crosses. Good luck with yours!

Yes Tom,
We also got the seeds from Kilr. We are very happy with them and look forward to seeing what they can do. He has been very helpful to many pumpkin growers. We are lucky to have him as part of our pumpkin community. Keep us posted on how yours turn out. I am sure you have more experience than us, so any advice is welcomed.

you have more expieience than me, I'm a 12 year old rookie from md, I'm homeschooled and love gardening. this is my third year growing pumpkins, my fourth or fifth year gardening, and my first time growing anything over 20 pounds. my personal best was a 15 pound connecticut field, that I grew in mostly shade last year, my pumpkins weren't as big as they could have been, but there were a lot of them.
