you mean an INCUBATOR? i'm suprised no one answered this question! in case anyone looks at this, here's the Pumpkinpal method: two pudding cups, clear, same size--put a teaspoon or so of straight (3% I think is the usual stuff) HYDROGEN PEROXIDE in the bottom cup. put your seed in the H2O2. put the top cup into the bottom cup. put a couple of coins in to hold down the top cup.....fizz, fizz, fizz for like 10 hours. have another cup ready, filled mostly full with moist starter mix. insert unrinsed seed into the mix, straight down until the radicle, (pointed end) touches, and is visible at, the bottom....draw a circle around that tip with a black magic marker....in exactly 72 hours you will see sprouting activity, reliably! it may take a lot longer for the seed to break the surface, but this is how it's done...just room temp. (70F.) required!

I file the edges, soak them for a couple hours, wrap them in damp paper towels, put the paper towels in baggies and place them on a propagation mat with a towel between the mat and the baggies. I usually get good results within 2 or 3 days. I think this is generally what most people do, with some variations.

To add something from rookie mistakes...Try not to flip the seeds over if you have to moisten the paper towel again...It may cause the sprouting root to curl not a real good thing...Some curl natually and end up like a corkscrew...Chuck
