I planted, several really good seeds in peat pots, and put them out in my greenhouse. I Put a cover over them {which had small holes in the sides}. Today I noticed some small holes in the soil, I knew when I saw those holes that I was in trouble. I mouse had squeezed in through the holes in the sides of the cover and ate everyone of the seeds that I had planted. It is a good thing that people had sent me back up seeds! KathyT

Glue Boards all over the propagation bench. Lots of them. A whole bloddy wall of them so that no mouse can pass without walking over one. Leave a reasonable space between the boards & the pots since big mice try to flop around & might knock something over. Reese's peanut butter cups make good bait if you're more the "snap trap" sort.

Pretty close to your method Steve: peanut butter(not too much) on the bottom of the trigger of a cheap mouse trap. A mouse can get the peanut butter without triggering the trap if it's on top of the trigger.
