            | mudcat | The Garden State | Since this is my first true year attempting to grow genetically enhanceed AG's I have a starting time question/problem. I have to go away on business travel May 2-14. My weighoff is October 14. Should I try and start the seeds and get the plants in the ground before May 2 ( and risk possible rotting and weight loss at the end of the season) or should I wait until I return from travel? Just to add another twist, I may need to go away in Mid July for travel again. If I start the seeds in mid May will I be able to pollinate prior to the July trip? | 4/5/2005 7:04:25 PM |

            | Dennis M. | Manchester,N.H. | I would start them in mid May and with any luck you should be able to pollinate before you leave in mid July. | 4/5/2005 8:08:25 PM |

            | Alexsdad | Garden State Pumpkins | I always have a first week of May meeting...I usually soak the night before I leave and have the germination chamber set...the morning I leave I put them in and usually 5 days later there up..so when I get home the hoops are heated and ready to go..If ya can't do this then wait till ya get back and get em in as soon as possible..GROWEMBIG! | pumpkinpal2 | Syracuse, NY | HOW DO YOU SPROUT YOUR SEEDS??? TAKE THEM WITH YOU, MY FRIEND!
well, if you are driving, anyway-----
if you are flying around, though, the x-ray machines would be a bother for sure at the airports.
could give you a few days' head start otherwise, though!
a paper box in the trunk, full of 4" peat pots with about- to-germinate AGs in them. hmmmmmmm.....just drive carefully.
NO rollovers! remember, be a crazy pumpkin grower, lol! eric
