Keep it growing, Matt! What a beast!
I agree, I probably would have quit long ago if I was just competing with other growers. For me... It's all about improving my own weights and striving for a personal best every year.

Ken D.- Thanks and I hope yours does the same thing!

Dawson Acres- I wish the shape was a little smoother like yours from last year, but as long as it holds together it will be a visually unique pumpkin.

Nick's Big Pumpkin- I like the name;-)

pumpconn- The hops is for both external and internal growth... time will tell;-)

Vineman- This is actually the 2154 Sperry '23 (F: 1904.4 Sperry x M: 2365 Wolf) that I do not see many other people growing this year. *The pollinator was from the plant that grew the 2465 Sperry.

Pumpkineer- Thanks, seems each pumpkin is unique in their own way.

big moon- Keep on refining your growing practices, you have shown this with both pumpkins and watermelons for sure!

Donkin- I have not changed much from the last three years so not as much science this year... but on the bright side the diary is more current than I have had in the past.

Each year I set out to beat my personal best by 1 pound! With the world record being as big as it is now that's about all most of us can do, Just a little better than the year before.:)
