Sometimes it just how the genetics come across in each seed. They both appear to have the same shape. I had the same type of thing happen with a seed that normally throws orange and heavy pumpkins and mine was white but 24% heavy. The off spring from that one threw orange pumpkins.

The offspring can vary. Mendelian genetics. Same parents but not every trait will be inherited in the same way. My oldest girls... one is blonde the other has brown hair. Different traits, they have the same parents though.
