Imagined being 'demobilized' by an irritating noise;
Whatever works, butt they do have to overdo it, don't they?
Probably a great way to deter many critters, not just mice.
Animal control officers, I believe, use cell-phone-sized ones to keep people-eaters away. No NEED to reply, anyone. eg

pumpkinpal2- It is a great way to deter unwanted mice and voles and it is the only thing that I have used that has stopped a mouse from feeding on an area once they knew it was food. I found this out sever years ago after trying many other options and now use them as a preventative.

jamieg- I am very happy with how the plant has been, it is the right color green. Also, this is all with no fertilizers as I only start fertilizing when the pumpkin is around day 10. (More details on this in future diary postings;-)

Green Gene- The early season cold-frame making the CO2 delivery more efficient I think helped get the plant to pollination size ahead of the anticipated schedule. I also think I have quantified the CO2 benefit doing some comparisons which I will be sharing in my diary so stay tuned.

*Just takes some time to get the information together, summarized and posted.
