I hope so, I think. Watermelon plants must be pruned when the fruit grows, as Nick told me, but I think that to send energy to the fruit it is better to leave some area of growth nearby... then when the fruit grows well, go pruning little by little... also those young leaves near the fruit will not hurt in the end. I'm going to try to root some more roots in that area. Tomorrow I'll add more perlite and I'll bury those tertiary ones to see if there's luck.
