Thats is good news! I have them defoliating my eggplant, I had to use some captain Jack's (spinosad). Maybe you wont see them this year, if you are lucky.

I got my sets in very early and the golds have been flowering for weeks. My reds are a strange story. They are flowering but haven't grown with the same ferocity as the golds even though they are in the same area. I thought maybe some bugs had gotten them but why only the reds? Do pests sometimes only go after one variety of potato and leave the other alone?

I am not sure if they hit one variety and not another. Every time I have had potato beetles, they hammer all of them!
