Wont hurt your selonoid valve at all as long as the power supply matches the coil voltage, it stays dry, and you dont remove the coil from the valve while its activated. Good luck Dave!

It worked ! 24 V AC (always off)solenoid with a 24 V AC transformer plugged into a BN Link Cooling Thermostat Controller. Thanks Gads. It's really a relief to see the misters come on automatically when the temperature is over 80F. The greenhouse easily gets over 100F in full sun.
