I’m not sure why the info I cut & pasted in showed up 3 times, but it does give me a better understanding of how water is important when tilling in mustard: it is not about forming a crust, it is about supplying the water so the chemical reaction can take place. My wife says she has to tell me things 3 times before I respond. Maybe one of the upgrades of this site is a Bluetooth feedback loop linked to my wife? I hope not.

If we could just get vapam still. The nursery I grow at use to cover whole plots with very thick plastic and use tanks to inject into the soil killing everything.
Thanks to those potato farmers figuring this out and now we get to reap the benefits.
Again, great write up.
