You both have "Newfoundlanders" as guard dog over your prized vegetables?

OK I thought the dog breed was a hint lol. Newfoundland is right next to our province.

Both of you finished in 44th place overall GPC results for biggest pumpkin. Steve in 2023 and you 2022?

Seriously no? OK I guess that's not a "funny stat" placing 44th lol. Keep digging then must be a "root vegetable" I assume?

Both placed 3rd in GPC Heaviest Tomato different years with a 8 pound plus tomato? After this I quit lol

8lb tomato is a part of the answer.

You are the only 2 growers to produce a 2,000 lb pumpkin, 1,000 lb squash and 8 lb tomato???

Yes! You are the winner Howard.

Right on cool...finally! The squash part was the elusive one. I also noticed 3 growers who each grew a 1 ton pumpkin and squash! Jutrus, Skinner and Tobeck which is amazing. And Jutrus also a 150 inch long gourd as well! I imagine there are other category combinations too? Stats and trivia always fun and interesting. Congrats and best wishes this season.

Congratulations Howard!
And thank you Mehdi for introducing this funny combination of accomplishments we both share.
But now, let's grow 'em BIG!!!
Best of luck to all growers!

Nice! Yeah Tobeck and Jutras havent hit 8 lbs but I knoe Cindy has grown some huge ones. Congrats to both of you, and I'm sure these bars will continue to be set higher & higher.

Yes Steve it was fun that Mehdi threw that trivia piece out there for the 2 of you. I always wondered how many growers share a special bond because they both grew a prized specimen and tied and so forth? And the way this whole sport/hobby is growing only going to get more interesting!
