Don Young's pumpkin was simply amazing. It couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. We nearly reached our goal of bringing the world record to Anamosa. (Just wait until next year!) Our top ten average was approximately 1093#, more than a 100 pound increase from last year. It should be noted that Steve and Amy Krug held the Iowa state record for approximately 30 minutes. I will try to post a photo diary in a few days. But first Don needs to post some himself: I don't want to step on his toes.
