The Results for the Ks State Fair, 6sep07 I think these are all correct. It was a blast haveing more big pumpkins, I dont know the seeds for the other pumpkins. Brian, can you post what you grew these from? 976.2(New State Record) Brian+Briana Stanley 871.2 (PB) Doug Heathman (1110Wallace06) 781.2 Melia Stanley 746.2 Sierah Stanley 203.8 Doug Armstrong 199.1 Didn't get any other names 176.7 172.9 106.1 85.2 84.6 75.2 51.8 Brian almost got Kansas a 1000# pumpkin! I Think He has one for the weighoff at Lindsborg ? DougH.

Wow, that is amazing. The Kansas state record was 405 pounds just a couple of years ago. Between the constant 30 mile per hour wind, viscous thunderstorms, hail, and more days over 95 degrees (and 100) than anyone should have to endure it is amazing that anyone still lives there to even try to grow pumpkins. I'm glad that I moved to Northern California 19 years ago!

I remember staying at what they call the "Encampment Building" at the Kansas State Fair years ago when I was a 4-Her and it being 90 degrees inside the building at Midnight. Yeah, those were the days...

My family & I want to thank everyone who helped along the way this season. Each of us reached a PB. Andy, Pap & Ron for the seeds. Phil H for timely advice, Doug for your product. Wiz for that spell you cast shutting down the wind when I was just about ready to throw in the towel. And everyone else who has ever put a seed in our hand or a solution to a problem. Without you we might still be growing 80 pounders.
