the rhode island "pack attack " gang had a long ride but it was worth the trip.
cograts to our fellow pack member and good friend joe jutras for finishing as site champion. we were all very happy for ed" three fingers" giarrusso for weighing his first ever pumpkin over 1,000 pounds.
ron wallace has a shot at the gpc grower of the year award so placing a 1,347 at topsfield and an 1,140 pounder at penfield beach with one weigh off to go gives him an opportunity. ( as marv levy once said " all you can ever ask for is an opportunity, well ya got one now." "where would you rather be than right here, right now"?
ct guys are very very good hosts and a great bunch to hang with. hoping to see them at frerichs farm this saturday. mark breznick from maine as well. (mark will not be admitted if his wife does not come in full halloween fashion-- orange hair ).

Yes Wayne...The main vine got wind whipped & had a lonitudal split early so the main fruit-set never amounted to anything. This ugly 214 fruit was set on the 2nd secondary in early August.
I'm still sorting through all of the pictures.

Joe is from Rhode Island so his 1169 is a site record but not a new State record.
