The springs weigh-off is where you will see all the big ones. why wait much longer oct. 7 is kind of late here in colorado and we pray there is not an early freeze....Everyone is welcome especially those from out of state...Happy growing

PumpkinFanatic, Yes, Im planning on attending the Springs weigh-off! Cant wait to meet the fine folks down there and swap stories and see all the BIGS! Wish I would of known last year .... We have two GPC weigh-offs this year in Colorado. Sept 30th and Oct 14th.... Most people grow more than one KIN.....Average frost in the Denver area is Oct 15th....Big ones are everywhere...And they all count....Its about sharing info and growing, thats what makes this sport so special......I look forward to meeting you all in the near future. Grow'em BIG

A little off topic, but, has anyone heard from the "madman" lately? I always like to here what he's up to as pumpkins are related, BF

sorry about the previous post I did about the colo. spgs weighoff being on the 7 of oct. I did not realize that sept. 30 was the set date, nor did any of the other local growers here in the springs. oct 7 was supposed to be the date all of us growers agreed to for the weigh-off the first saturday of oct. as it was last year. Myself and the other growers are wondering what happened, and I have yet to get a hold of the person in charge of the site here. Maybe that was the only day he could get the location for the event reserved......I do not know, but hopefully things will go well anyway...hope to see lots of pumpkins there if we all hold them together..JK.

Snake, he lives a mile down the street from me, and I have not talked with him in 6 weeks. I guess the Madman must be busy..It is that time of the year..JK

Please note that the Colorado Springs weigh-off date has changed from September 30th to October 7th 2006. Print advertising has been changed to the new date. I will give updates on everything that changes this weekend. With the growers requesting the new date we have to re-schedule the park. If the parks dept can not schedule the park we will move it to the Plaza where it was held last year. Thank You, Charlie Cagiao charles_cagiao@msn.com
