I had a call this morning from a friend that heard on one of our local radio stations that there is a Giant Pumpkin Weigh-Off and Pumpkin Festival in California this Weekend. Thankfully my fried made a few notes and he told me that the radio presenter actually interviewed a Grower named Cameron live on the Radio Programme and was in some way involved with the Pumpkin Festival. I have done a very quick search and i cannot find any information on said Pumpkin Festival/Weigh-Off in California this weekend.

If anyone can enlighten me as to exactly where in CA this event is i would greatly appreciate the info.

That would probably be the Half Moon Bay Pumpkin Festival. The festival is held this weekend, Oct 15-16 in Half Moon Bay, CA, but the weigh-off was last Monday. The festival features the winning pumpkin of the weigh-off.
