Nice pumpkin, Sergio! Congratulations!
Was 860 Zolli/Greatti the fruit that was supposed to be over 400 kg. I think Paolo once mentioned a still growing pumpkin with an est. weigh of 412 kg or something like that...

The 860 was supposed be 432 kgs (951lbs) according OTT measurement and 2003 Stellpflug chart; unfortunately it was about 10% light. The 860 was grown on 932 Steeves 2003, that also last year produced the 376,5 kg that won the Italian weigh-off, great seed. Paolo

Great, the 932 again... I saw that Club Maspiano pumpkin last year at the Seegräben weighoff where it weighed in at 369 kg after having lost some weight since the Italian weighoff. It had great shape and good color. Do you have a picture of this year's pumpkin that you can post on here?

That fine Mediterranean climate of Italy might very well be the source of Europe's first 1000 lb Pumpkin.
