Just testing the waters to see if anyone would be interested in approaching the NY state fair about having a small weighoff there. It would probably be the last weekend in August or first weekend in September.

Most State Fairs require you to be a resident of the state. Hince the key word State Fair...lol

Andy...pursue it. There is participation every year there anyway, might wanna incorporate that event into a more "official" environment (both wieghing and recording). Also, the one thing I found to be a chore ther , and I have never gone but have considered, is that you need to enter well ahead of the Fair and since the fair is so early that means you need to sign up etc in like June/July...I wont know if I even have fruit by them much less and older fruit that might not make it to October..........

good point G. i had been thinking about it as a way for some to pick those that just look like they are on the verge of splitting at that time of the year (it seems that's the time frame i lose 90% of the ones that are going to split), or just to take an extra one for those that have the amount of plants to do it.

Yea..........tho I be a foreigner, to New York State, it is within range, to draw, my interested attendance, to see, what you all have codgered up. This could entice me, to once again, grab a New York out of state fishing licence and spend multiple days, in the fine area.

yeah, it was just a thought to throw out there. we had kind of mentioned how other areas have early shows, and that the state fair might me a good fit for some who needed an early out. nothing serious, i was just wondering what people thought.
