Hi , ive never grown field pumpkins. How many sq. ft.er plant and how far out do you try to set the pumpkin on the main? Thanks Phil

If you train them to about 150-300 sq feet you'll do fine. They don't really get much larger than 300 sq feet with any benefit.

They also mature a lot quicker than AG's so you can start them a little later.

150 sq ft is fine if you are growing one pumpkin per plant. If you grow two on the same plant (preferably after each other as much as possible) you will need a larger plant.
