The last 3 days we averaged 35+mph sustained winds with 65+ gusts. During that time, I built some new sites for growers to use.

http://fieldpumpkin.vegetabletoplant.com/

1.     Please upload your photos of field pumpkins for users to view.
2.    You can add/modify your own entries if there are any inaccuracies.
3.    Track the genetics and determine who might be growing your seed.

Let me know if you encounter any problems.

i like it...in talks with John MacKinnon, he will like it also because he would really like to push the field pumpkin tracking. He was interested in OTTs especially. i told him that i was surprised at how many weighoff sites neglect to input the cross, let alone the OTT--as has been said before, the big ones are the main event and everything else at the weighoffs take a back seat...such is life. Maybe this site will help growers to see more field pumpkin data since you can input additional data. great job, Thanks!

PumpkinFanatic, I think for seasoned FP growers and newbies like myself your efforts will help push FP weights faster than ever before. I have asked all that intend to plant any of my seeds to please encourge their GPC sites to record the OTT and cross data, so there is more infomation available. There is also an FP grower who is developing an FP estimation chart this winter which perhaps could be added to your site. I attempted to add pics and additional info to your site but encountered an "error" which I think was due to the size of the jpg. Thanks for your work.

Hi John,

I tested the upload functionality so you might be correct that the jpg image was too large. You can use a free program called "irfanview" or a free program called "Gimp" to reduce the size of the image file.

I'm glad you like the site and let me know if you see any features or improvements you would like added.
