I think somebody needs to Google 'Elongated Tomatoes', find the longest in length one(s) and cross it with the up-and-coming giant variety that IS growing WRs. Without any real-time growing of them on my part, the limiting factor is the distance between the stem end and the blossom end that causes the need for gigantic multiple lobes and whatever size limitation therein becomes evident.
Probably a 'flat' tomato is the opposite of the goal;

I have simply thought for a long time that a longer fruit would provide for more room between the ends of it and selecting for that trait may be the next step here. It should not matter the size of the fruit/seed with the elongated characteristic. I crossed the 2145 McMullen BY my 20 Gerry in 2017 and was really happy with the outcome - a shameless plug, lol:

Longer fruit in a tomato could be a trait of importance similar to thicker walls in a pumpkin.

I hope my AGs this year respond well to my drum set being in their midst, lol---I have noticed the roots and the leaves each emitting an enjoyable and repulsive odor, respectively, (seedlings, indoors) any time I handle or prune them or rub their leaves for good luck, lol, butt I fully intend to read that article and watch the Tomato Whisperer (not) further in action!
