This is one of the tomatoes I'm having trouble tracing back.

Any info from old seed packets or what not?

There are quite a few educated guesses in this list.

7.82 Howell/Jolivette 2020
6.67 Menting 2016
4.34 Menting???? maybe instead 4.94 Menting 2014???
5.33 Martin 2013 ?
4.79 Martin 2011 ?
2.2 Menting 2010 ?

Finding this post was a big help. MNfisher diary along with auction posts and results got me to the 6.01

I have the genetics for the top 30 tomatoes back to their genesis seed. Probably took me 40 hours or more of work to find it all. I need to clean it all up. Put it in a format that is not "Scott Speak".

How did you get from the 4.34 to 6.01? The 4.34 is not in any weigh off I found.

I just looked quickly at the list of the top 500. I see some duplicate entries. Looks like there is a 9.06 Brown 2021 and a 9 brown 2021, an 8.36 Strickler 2021 and a 8 strickler 2021. I wonder which 9 LaRue 2021 is double to.

On that site, who has the authority to delete the duplicates?

All tomatoes in 2021 were doubled. Their weight and then the weight with the oz. Taken off. Annoying.

I think scott might be right that the 4.34 menting came from a martian seed ! I could be wrong but the martians and mentings always planted each others seeds. I never noticed joe menting growing a boudyo seed before ?

I think this might be the correct lineage
