My benchmark (if it helps) was seeing Peter Glazebrook's 5.16 in a 70 litre pot last season.

5 US gallons is around the 19 litre mark - so a pot a third of that size...

That is a nice tomato that glazebrook grew but that 70 liter pot is equivalent to 18.5 gallon pot.
