Putting Jack on speed dial. I'll be disappointed with anything less than 12 lbs. this year :)

Thanks Pete & Jack - early tomato entry may be the only way to get a tomato listed at this rate!
It would be good to raise and understand from the the committee if they might raise at the next meeting if:
1. the end deadline for early tomato entries might be extended this year, should late shows / weigh offs be cancelled.
2. If exceptions for those with age / underlying health issues might also be made (doesn't apply to me btw) who might feel that - due to age or underlying condition - even if the late shows were on, they would not want to attend given large numbers at the event, and covid-19 knocking about in a lower level way given their higher risk.
It could fill the gap for submissions, that weigh offs late in the season would have otherwise done.
Thanks!

Thank you Jeff, I appreciate your responses to my emails thru the years. Yours was a thankless task. I hope you know, that some of us appreciate what it took for you to what you did. Pete is my local rep. Last summer, he responded quickly and properly to my concerns. I am glad that he is willing to sacrifice for this. I think the GPC is most aware of the issue facing the world today. I am sure they will try to make policy to deal with it. Eventually, I would like to see virtual tomato to go year round. Winter growers could compete, southern hemisphere growers could compete. Patience..it can get there.
