Everything got hit with a frost here, they are in walls o water and froze the part out of the wall. Wondering if you cut the frozen part off or leave the plant alone or ??? Suggestions for dealing with a partly frozen plant please and thank you.

I would leave alone and see what recouperates over the next day or two...if they shrivel and turn brown/crunchy, then trim off the damaged branches...sorry about the luck

Ralph - we also got hit here by a freaky late frost last week! :-( I lost about 800 tomato seedlings that were already in the ground and spent all week scrambling to replace them. I was already so far behind, and still have not transplanted for my giant tomato project...
Anyhow, I agree: let them be. If your vines are tall enough to be poking out the tops of the Wall O' Waters, there will almost certainly be suckers which will grow aggressively and in 3 weeks or so, you'll hardly be able to tell the tops were frozen!

Thanks guys, I left them alone and then Friday went out and cut off the dead frozen part, they are coming back quickly.

Another season of really poor weather so far. We are getting tons of rain in Pennsylvania along with cold weather and little sun. This could be the fifth year in a row with similar weather. This seems to be our new normal.

Cold & wet here in Cameron. Just got the garden tilled last weekend. It's the 1st year ever that we couldn't get our soil tilled in a reasonable time. A big change from last year's warm temps. Plants are doing as best as they can, but our night time temps of 36 - 42 degrees are not helping either. We really need a good week of sunny warm weather to kick them into high gear. Good luck all.

On a good note, our greenhouse giant tomatoes are doing well.

We have been getting strong storm systems going through. Thankfully the tornadoes missed us. But Saturday we got 3.2” of rain followed by 1.8” yesterday.

well you could move to CA and pay huge sums of money in taxes or you could count your blessings and build a greenhouse.
