Looks good. It would be wise to prepare your witness/witnesses ahead of time and familiarize the store and scale operator in advance before bringing in your tomato

And for yourself. Print out the new rules and entry forms ahead of time and familiarize yourself with them. When your tomato is ready you need to be ready! If you are a new grower or haven't been through the process, you don't want to be that person who writes in, "I picked my tomato, now what do I do?" You went through all that work in your garden so why not have your weights on the official GPC tomato weigh off list? It can be a little confusing at first but after going through it a couple of times it's easy breezy! Don't procrastinate! It's nice to have this option. Thank you.

I think estimated weights prior to weighing them using a density formula should be added to the rules somewhere because sometimes the shape/location of a tomato isn't conducive to getting a good circumference measurement.

I know densities vary between tomatoes but we're trying to get an estimated weight.

If estimated density weight and circumference weight aren't close, then funny business/soaking is going on.

best I have come up with soaking a tomato in water after storage is .01 pound increase...scale accuracy might account for that. Estimating weight...most growers guess from circumference. Not many of us, use the 3 way measurement with an mFactor multiplier. I am getting very close to accurate estimations on my tomatoes...I think last year i was within 1/4 pound on every estimate. But most growers are not going to know. Inches CC will be close enough...If you have a 20 inch tomato and it weighs 6 pounds...something is not right.

Never quite got the hang of that mfactor measurement.

Then again,I only had one decent set last year to practice it with.
Can you give a refresher course Bnot?

Looks good. I like the rule that you can submit additional tomato if it's heavier than the smallest one of previous entries.

One point I need clarification on: The form is to be signed, but the idea is to send in an excel spreadsheet for simplicity. Do we scan the form with the signature and send it along with the spreadsheet, or just type the name in and keep the signature copy for evidence purposes?

Typing in should be sufficient...

For last year, I had the witness sign my Iphone in messenger, copied and emailed the image. I then added it as an image to the excel.

Thanks for the heads-up on getting prepared BEFORE the Big Day. I was a procrastinator. Not anymore.
