I am really liking your hydro setup. Very intriguing to me. I have to caution you...my results with clones is I can not get as developed root system with them as I can from a seed. If I see this correctly you have the clone in a coco pot that will eventually drop into a DWC solution. I am wondering how big the coco pot is. One of the problems with coco as a hydro substrate is calcium deficiency. Depending on how much of your root mass is in coco, you might want to increase the Ca ratio a bit. 30 gallons is a big area. I root bound in 5 gallons DWC. 13 gallons seems almost adequate. 30 gallons would be a dream.I am still hoping to get the details of Patrick Schenks 8 pound hydro grow..so far nothing..would love to know the nutrient ratios he was giving the plants. Keep it growing...the tech growers have not made their mark yet.

Good feedback Bob. Hayden will make his mark. Innovation distinguishes between a leader and follower (Steve Jobs).

Thanks Bob & Rick.
Bob, my plan to circumvent the root size issue is to ignore my first truss flowers and wait for a bigger root system. The actual water volume is around 26 gallons & the pot size for the plant is 2 gallons
Also - patrick used a go-grow hydroponic system in a and his pot sizes were 6.6 gallons (25L), with coco used as his soilless media. As for exact nutrients.. I can only guess.

The future is bright with young growers. I see big things for Hayden and Austin. Lots of good topics on here lately.

Hayden, do you have any picture of a go-grow hydroponic system. Doing a google search I keep getting different things to come up. One other problem that I had when trying to use coco over DWC is that the coco would eventually flush into the water tank. I could stop that with a screen, but then the roots could not get thru. I might give coco another chance this winter. Still have time to decide how to approach the winter grow season.

All I know is that the system he used only ships to the UK. However, it's a fairly simple set up when you get down to it. I dont know how I feel about every plant getting the same nutrient ratios.. I may make my set up more personalized to each plant, some genetics or varieties may prefer more of one nutrient than another. I'm a big fan of reading the leaves and adjusting the nutrients accordingly
