Fun for you porkchop is not fun for all. The world doesn’t revolve around what you consider fun. The tomato group is a big group..hopefully soon to get very much bigger. The grower of the number 1 and number 2 largest ever in the world is not a participant in the board because of you. I admit he is conservative in the info he shares. But I thru friendship have gained muchfrom him. I expect to be in contact with him for many years. In this situation..I am not alone in perspective.

Qtip ,you and porkchop atre one side. Many other growwra have followed this development.. And yes, I could not handle the fly by night rule changes for porkchops fun in the team competiton. I am not alone in my thousghts. Email some of the others that are the leaders of this board. You know who those are. Call me me drop out....better descrpition is not willing to participate in bad organizational practices. I dare you..start to call me derogatory names. It win’t be pretty.

I don't know the whole story, BUT

This is a pretty close-knit community and there are so few of us in the world. I don't understand why the WR holder would isolate himself from the community that I'm assuming made him. Because you don't get along with a few people? Really? Mr. Sutherland didn't invent giant tomato growing and some of the people that helped him are probably still around here. You don't have to divulge your top secret growing methods but at least show up to say thanks for the congrats and fling a few words of wisdom to us entering the world of giants. I would consider this a dereliction of duty and it kinda cheapens the accomplishment. Go ahead and beat me up for this opinion, I'm expecting it. lol

You are not going to get beat up.Many here would like Dan S to pop in once in a awhile to say hi.There is no chance if he thinks this is hostile place. That is why the thread upset me so much. You don’t know the story and is better for us to move on. There are many factors in play, beyond just a few individuals. Let’s move on and see what the future brings.

You don’t need to know the story Wolfpack...”drop out” tells the story...but that means you are here and he is not...along with quite a few other new-comers to the sport...I’ll take that anyday of the week...I don’t know dan s...prolly a great guy....I highly doubt it but I’ll take bnots word for it...Not helpful in anyway in all the years I’ve been on this site...but that’s ok...I’ve learned from the 100 other awesome growers on here that are willing to share their passions with other growers around the world...but they are dwindling...and Facebook isn’t the only reason why...(cough cough)...dunno how much longer I’ll be around on these boards(I hear Facebook allows you to choose your friends)... but for the new guys...learn, love, and share....see the forest through the trees grasshopper...forest through the trees...
