Good job Lee!...i looked at tomato.giantstogrow.com. I did not see a 5.28, wondering if it is off from the 5.3 2014. It doesn't matter much..but it might be from a tomato line I don't have seeds from. Hint, I hope you make these seeds availble. I have way too many plants of the 6.83 offspring growing :). Next year you are going to blow away Pauls numbers.

Thanks everyone !
Bnot,
I sent the info to have it for the early tomatoes. The only thing i can figure, is that the stupid ribbon in the photo below was blocking some of my tomato on the scale. I was not going to fuss over it since I have grown bigger in the past.look at my 2014 diary for more pics of it, if you want to see the 5.28 .

Brutus Magnum was obtained from 2 brothers who grew it and competed each year in The Great Tomato Hunt in Canada. They got the seed originally in a packet of seeds bought at their local hardware store. The contest is no longer held but Brutus Magnum lives on. Grats ZAPPA.

Thanks Lee, I was looking thru your 2014 diary. Was your 5.28 grown from Marv's 6.25 Brutus Magnum. That looks like a good line of genetics to introduce into my garden.

Bnot, i grew it from Marvs seed. I cant remember off hand what the weight was, but i think you have it right. I may have info in my old diary on it. I only grew 5 total plants, 2 of which were my 5.28's, and they look to have my two best for this year.
I should have seeds to share. :)
