Where can some one find a state by state record? I can not find anything on a Georgia state tomato record. I have spent hours on here and google trying to find something. Thanks

This is the most thorough tomato site I know of if you haven't already looked: tomato.giantstogrow.com Look around. I didn't see Georgia. I see it is usually updated once a year from the GPC site. You can also update it yourself.

i couldn't find Georgia on that site either. Some other states had some really low numbers. My indoor tomato this year would have been better than the state record of the state I grew up in. Unfortunately to take state record in the state I am living in takes better than 8.41 pounds. Grow a good tomato georgiamater....get it GPC certified..and you will have the state record.

Thank you Garden Rebel and bnot. I am glad I'm not going crazy, I will grow a good one this year and get it certified. Thanks again

I am just looking at the Early Tomato form for the first time and am curious as to what goes in the "list certification details" section?

I put down the approved lab that the certification was made from that is on the scale sticker like the Bureau of Weights and Measures in Oregon.. or similar place that measured the scale for accuracy.

georgiamater, make sure the scale you weigh it on has a state certification sticker on the scales. Make sure that cert, is in the photo/video of the tomato on that same set of scales!! Verify everything, have witnesses, call your local ag/ extension agency, and ask them to be present!!! Just sayin...cover all yer bases!!! Peace, Wayne

It took some effort on the part of several people (including Gordon - thanks!) over the years, but now the Utah Giant Pumpkin Growers has one of the better state-level sites for keeping updated records of giant tomatoes, pumpkins, watermelons, etc.:

Not every state has a GPC certified site, but for those that do, it's probably up to the giant tomato growers themselves to persuade site administrators to include tomatoes, etc. along with pumpkins.
