From the information I am aware of, none were over 3 pounds and the average would be around 2 pounds.

The story of that particular seed is quite interesting. Charlie lived at the bottom of a mountain road and repaired radiators, mostly trucks. He made his seed by crossing somehow 4 giant tomatoes. He sold the seeds to truck drivers and used the proceeds to pay off the mortgage on his house. He then named the seed Mortgage Lifter. The names of lots of heirloom tomatoes have interesting histories.

I have grown a couple to very close to 3 pounds. Never had them officially weighed though. They were not competition plants so I didn't do anything special to get them to that size. I think they are capable of more than 3 pounds.
