So, when does the tomato season end? Is the Boudyo 8 pound tomato in the 2015 season or is it the first tomato of 2016? Or is it nowhere? Anyone know what the rule is here? Certainly it should count for something.

• The GPC has set up an avenue to record and recognise weights of tomatoes harvested prior to the annual weigh off season. This is called the Virtual Early Tomato Weigh off. • Results will be recorded on the Early Tomato listing, on the GPC info page at Big Pumpkins.com. • The GPC will accept entries up until September 30th of each year. • The GPC will accept a maximum of three (3) entries per grower per year. Any other entries must be entered at a regular GPC sanctioned weigh off. copy and paste I did.

I think the rules could be bent a little here. I do know this guy who entered 7 tomatos in the early entry. so I think there is room for fabrice

I think the GPC should review the sept.30 cut off date ? I think it should go from jan 1 to dec 31 because we accept enteries from australia, new zeland dont we ? Their season is opposite from ours.just my opinion ?

I reckon if he left it on the vine for an extra half day, it would've put on that extra 0.05lb.

Only sound fruits/veggies are allowed to be entered/considered for competition. Fabrice did the honorable thing. He followed the rules, hats off to you Mr Boudyo.
