I will brush behind the stem of the flower like Porkchop said. Be careful not to hold in one place as it will cause damage. On a mega bloom, toothbrush it for a few days as each flower may pollinate at a different time. This year was the first year I used the toothbrush (on a flower) and it really worked for me.

Also , if the bloom is not all ready facing the ground, push the bloom down before you vibrate it so the pollen falls were it is meant to.
