Join in the fun this winter and test your skills at growing a large tomato in your house. You choose how you think you can make it happen ( sunny window, grow lights, hydroponics ) anything goes as long as its in your house. Email me if your interested in the challenge. I'll order up a nice custom ribbon for first place. And maybe ribbons for second and third if a few more people join in. (3 growers so far)

Awesome Chris! Your in! Are you growing in a sunny spot,or under lights? Just wondering. It will be neat to see the results from different growers growing different ways. I'm growing in a closet under lights.

Just curious, does the seed need to be started after Oct. 8th, or would a clone of a plant from 2015 also be allowed (as long as it doesn´t have any roots before today)?

Great great! Welcome aboard biscuit ,Patrick and Stephen. Quick question Patrick.... are you and your son growing separate or as a team? Also, I ordered sweet costum ribbons from Hodgesbadge.com for 1st 2nd and 3rd. I plan on keeping the 1st place ribbon for myself . Muhahahaha. If I win that is! Lol
Were up to 13 growers and counting! Porkchop...your the master tom grower, give this a try! No pressure... lol

Lol. Do it Steve!!!
Patrick...two growers in the same house is fine by me. As long as each grower is caring for their plants separate. Different techniques will be the key to see if someone can grow a 4 lber indoors! Or bigger! Lol That's what makes this fun!

Thanks Porkchop! You da man!!! And he's not kidding about the cost to run a good light. I wish I would of ordered a smaller one once I calculated the cost per month. Doh!!! Oh well. My light is coming in the mail today. Yay.lol

I haven't logged on in a few days. Great to here some excitement and progress. Thanks Chris I'm happy with my plant for now. Lol. There's so much time till the first day of spring. I'm wondering if I can get a fruit, then clone and try for a bigger one! Biggest fruit you can grow before the first day of spring will be your keeper weight.

Getting off to a slow start, I just recently got the fruit off a couple of my greenhouse plants I've been growing in hanging basket pots to see what I could get out of them. They have some suckers and new growth that fits what I'm looking for finally, time to move in the house and start the clones.
